Renter Responsibility 

Renters are responsible for returning all equipment rented from Pitch A Tent Kauai in cleanly, dry and like condition from as it was picked up or a cleaning fee may be added.  Renters must return gear by specified return date or notify Pitch A Tent Kauai through email or phone call. Renters are responsible for replacing any lost or stolen items from their rental.  Any equipment that is damaged during the rental period may be subject to replacement by the renter, if it is deemed so by Pitch A Tent Kauai.

Renters are responsible for all camping reservations and permits and are urged to have all reservations and permits before arriving on island.  Renters are responsible for any fees or fines related to camping, parking or otherwise, during their rental period.

Renters must advise Pitch A Tent Kauai of any changes in equipment, rental length or cancelations at least 72 hours before rental start date. However changes may not be able to be accommodated. Check our cancellation policy.  Renters are responsible for returning all equipment to Pitch A Tent Kauai on the agreed upon date of return.  All equipment must be returned to the secure return bin and locked in the bin before leaving.

Payment Refunds and Cancelations 

There are no refunds for any equipment, date or rental length changes made after equipment is picked up by renter.   If renter cancels that day of pick up, renter forfeits 100% of rental price. If renter cancels the day before pick up, renter forfeits 50% of rental price. We do not give refunds based on weather. Any cancellations after the payment is made will be subject to a refund minus a $25 Processing fee.

A deposit of 50% of the rental total is added to every rental. This deposit is completely refundable, so long as all rental equipment is returned on time and in good condition.  If any equipment rented from Pitch a Tent Kauai is not returned, returned damaged, or returned excessively dirty or wet, Pitch a Tent Kauai may use the deposit to cover the cost or replacing, fixing or exrta cleaning of the item or items. It may take up to 10 business days for the deposit to show in your bank account as returned.
